  1. no it is the fault of people, they destroy their territory by building on it and removing lakes and when they first became popular they took them from the wild to sell not realizing the consequences, it is only now that several species are threatened that people have started to Ban the wild trade, but people still take them from the wild and the chances of survival are slim, it is such a shame
