Does mighty putty work??

Does anyone have any idea if that might putty stuff does everything the commercial says it will do?

Commercials are exaggerations. But yes, it does work. My friend broke his music lyre (band geek equipment 0.o) and he fixed it with mighty putty. I slammed it against the wall and it held.

Either I am doing it wrong but I have had no luck at all with it. I tried fixing a drawer with it. it held for a day and then came apart again.
