Because that's what is kind of happening. I'm kind of nauseous and when I stand up sometimes I get dizzy for a second or two. Is this withdrawal or something?

  1. this is a very big possibility. Do you know that not all veggie food compensates for the natural vitamins and minerals that come in meats. Most of that stuff is all processed vitamins and minerals. it s like the difference between breast milk and formula. so good luck with your slow deterieration.

  2. No, but it should.

PETA  - People eating tasty animals.

There's always room for God's little creatures on this earth.  Right next to the mashed potatoes.

  3. no.has nothing to do with ur diet.look up "postural hypotension",also called "orthostatic hypotension",on the net.common and non-serious problem, especially in women.

  4. yes this can happen because of a sudden change in diet

  5. Yes cause you are not getting the amount of protein that your body is used to getting.  You should usually ease into a vegetarian lifestyle. Those that just jump into it and one day all of a sudden stop eating meat and dairy and eggs and the whole s**+-bang are losing all their sources of protein all in one day.  Try easing into it.  Like have something with lots of protein in it a least once a day.

    Hope that helps

  6. It is indeed withdrawal, everyone goes through it. It'll be gone in a few days, max.

  7. It never happened to me when i started. Maybe you just need to take it easy when you switch. Try semi-vegetarian for a few days before cutting out the chicken and fish. It won't be hard.

  8. this is totally normal. when your body is used to nutrient rich food for so long, and then you start lowering that intake.. you can DEFINATELY feel a little light headed. try to incorporate more protein and your body will eventually get used to this change

  9. Yes because your body is getting used to and making up for the meat that has left your diet.

  10. it is highly possible you are have these side affects to becoming vagen. (vegiterian)  You need to gradually change your eating habits. Your body is use to having the meats and now that it isn't gettin' any you are feeling ill. I would take a vitamin supplement for a while. and maybe even see a doctor untill i get it all straightened out. and to help with the light headedness I would get up very slowly to make it a little less bothersome....

    best of luck to ya,

    Crystal S

  11. yeah always contact a docter for a sudden change in diet ..

  12. Yes this is most likely a sympton because when switching to a vegetarian only diet, a lot of protein and other vitamins you would find in abundance in meat you would not find in your common fruits and vegetables.

  13. im a vegan and we i first made the switch i was always sick and dizzy .

its your bodys lack of protien...maybe you should start taking vitamins..and make sure to eat plenty [=

  14. That's your body telling you that something is wrong. I would advise you to go get a steak right away!

  15. No but this also  happens to me sometimes when  i eat a bunch of vegis... i think it has to do with the fact that vegis r mostly water and foos with water ussualy cause gas..Try eating some heavier food like just 1  slice of bread and u will feel so much better after,...If u wanna be a rtrue vegitarian just eat some corn or baby carrots

  16. I suggest you call your doctor. No one on Yahoo Answers can tell you if this is normal or not, we don't know you, or your medical history. No one should make a drastic change in their diet without telling their doctor first.

  17. I've been a vegetarian for about 12 years now... and I've never heard of someone becoming nauseous from cutting out meat products (especially since meat has no addictive components)

Although... you may not be substituting in the correct things to meet dietary needs.

You need to take some different vitamins then before and really pay special attention to what you are eating, in order to give your body what it needs without eating any animals.

    :)

  18. You should have your blood sugar checked, it sounds like low blood sugar.

  19. It might be due to a dietary deficiency. Check carefully to make sure you are not missing out on some key nutrient.

  20. That's the same thing that happened to me when I was about 19 years old. I tried to exclude meat from my diet.  Back then, I read where most health conscious people abstain from meat and most all animal products for that matter. The payoff: dizziness, fatigue, nausea and deathly pale complexion. Then I realized that humans are omnivores, and that meat is not murder, nor do vegetarians  have the nicest figures eitther. Even animal lovers have come to realize that humans need animal protein to survive. Most primitive tribes over the globe practically worshipped the animals they hunted and ate.

  21. I used to be a vegetarian and had no ill effects from the switch.  But I suppose it could happen and I also suppose that you could be allergic to something new you have added to your diet.  I also suppose that you could be having a withdrawal type of response from the elimination of something from your diet.  I know that if some one drinks a lot of caffeine and then suddenly stops they often will get headaches and stomach upset and all sorts of negative symptoms.
