Does mma(mixed martial arts) help you get in shape?

i was thinking of joining mma and i was wondering it you build muscle and get in shape in this class help me please?

  1. Yes, mma helps you get into shape by gaining muscles, increase your stamina, fexibility, etc. Not only that thers become more disiplined, more alert and know how to defend them selves.

  3. doing mma will definitely help you get fitter and lose weight, but to really build muscle.. you gotta work out. go to the gym. theres no other way, my friend. =D

  4. definately, they usually do warm ups that could invole push ups squatsand sit ups etc that would get you definition,and do some great fitness but to pile on serious muscle you have to hit weights

  5. absolutely, my friend used to be overweight and have a huge appetite, now he's much fit and eats moderately, look for a good trainer and join with friends (or make new friends), it'll be fun!

  6. You will get some muscle development, but to get big muscles you would have to lift weights. But an mma class that includes stand up and ground work will give you a great all over body workout and really burn the calories as you get to use a lot of the big muscles
