Mt. Hood has snow at its peak the year round, The accumulation starts in late fall and will continue through spring. Due to its altitude there is always a snow cap on the mountain.

Although Mt. Hood has snow on the mountain year-round, they only get snow accumulating from about September until May. In the summer, the temperature is cold in the morning and at night, but then gets up into the 60s in the afternoon. Of course, this snow is all on Mt. Hood's palmer glacier, which is part of Timberline Resort and is accessed by the palmer chair.
