  1. it depend in the usage of it. I do think for the younger ones certian music can increase there skills.... older ones for chior no...


  2. I guess band programs and such could help with focus and multi tasking because you have to do so many things at once. You have to read the music and play all what it says to play (there is more than just notes), you have to look at the director, you have to listen around you so you know if your in tune or not, and a whole lot of other stuff. So, I think that band could help with paying attention and stuff, but this is just my opinion.

  3. Schools are cutting music and everything else that is not tested based on mandated NCLB laws.

    NCLB is  a federal law that mandates all public school kids to do testing each year.

    This testing checks to see how well the SCHOOL is doing, and NOT the student.

    MOST people don't know this.

    This testing focuses mostly on math and reading, so I have heard (even from teachers) that schools are going to stop teaching EVERYTHING except for reading and math!!
