Tonite between 7 and 9pm, I had her follow me into every room until she realized where I was and she could not be in the other room alone for one second. I gave her crayons to play with and she still followed me everywhere. I made her dinner and she asked me to sit on the floor and cried until I did. She is in bed now asking for ice cream, milk, says shes so thirsty when she isn't. I really don't have one second to myself. She talks constantly. Im afraid for her.

  1. No, she's THREE YEARS OLD! 3 year olds do this!

  2. I think she might have Anxiety which sometimes comes hand in hand with ADHD. Wait until she gets to school before you start thinking it might be ADHD

  3. You said the magic words!

    "I am AFRAID for(of) her"!

Stop being afraid GIVE her some attention and  cut down on the sugar after 3 P.M. and play with her some.Do your house work when she snoozes or is watching Sesame street.

Next, learn to tell her no about certain things like ice cream after going to bed.Dairy products(especially with sugar) will make her hyper and and thirsty. She is a child and wants attention.

  4. umm, sorry but no your child does not have ADHD.. your child is a normal 3 year old!.. She is just wanting attention.. she wants you to play with her, not her play alone, and she is just trying to find reasons to get you to give her attention.. sorry but thats what i see.. not a disorder

  5. Absolutely not-- this is normal for a 3 year old. Doctors don't diagnose ADHD earlier than 1st grade.. and it is rare to diagnose it before 3rd grade.

  6. for a 3 year old thats normal, they usaly like the attion. you can usally tell when they get a little older. like around the years of 6.

  7. dont be afraid of your child and spend time with herr.

  8. nope she just wants attention. she's a normal 3-year old. i did this when i was 3-only my mom was busy with brother so my aunt and grandma played with me instead

  9. That isn't necessarily ADHD just a kid wanting attention and to control the situation.  ADHD is so much more than that.  If she can sit still and color if you sit down with her then she isn't ADHD she just wants your attention. ADHD kids can't even sit still for 5 seconds to get anything done even if you were to sit down with them they just keep racing in their mind and they can't really sleep at night because their mind is still racing so they just toss and turn in bed.  They are just like the energizer bunny they keep going and going and going.
