  1. Yep! Yep! Yep! i'm canadian and you have to have a booster seat if your child is under 80lbs :( they made a new law!

  3. Alberta has no lawls about booster seats.

    In Ontario children are exempt from booster seats when they reach a minimum height (145 cm), a minimum weight (36 kg), or when they reach 8 years of age, so your 9 year old does not need a booster seat in Ontario.

    Your child may need a booster seat in Quebec, because there it depends on height.  If your child's measurement from seat to top of head when seated is at least 63 cm then he does not need a booster seat.

  4. If the child is over 8 years old you do NOT need a booster seat.
