Question:

Does my MacBook need a power converter for Europe?

I know my macbook will need an adaptor to fit into the wall but I dont know if these computers are made to handle the 220volts of power in France... ??

  1. If it has the black block in the middle of the power cord, then you will not need a converter. Most laptops are compatible.

  3. I definitely think so. Ours needed on for Italy.  Really, I think anything you'd plug in will need it. We bought a couple adapters at Radio Shack and everything worked. You should go over there and ask them. I think every country is different so make sure to be specific.

    Maybe just call Apple to be sure. You don't want to fry that sucker.

  4. you'll just have to have the plug piece itself. anyone will do, just so that it fits into the electric plug.  it will adapt the power automatically with the computer's own cable adapter. no problem, dear

  5. American computers run on 110. Some air conditioners and power tools take 220.

    Yes get the power converter. Our computers are not made to take double the juice.  110 vs 220
