Does my baby need photo-id to travel to Dublin, Ireland?

flying to dublin, does my 5 month old daughter need photo-id, I'll be using my passport but she doesnt have her own passport.

  2. Unless you are travelling from the UK to Ireland, Yes every passenger needs a passport (not just any picture ID). Both my kids had to get passports before they were 3 months old, it's great fun trying to get the correct type of photo with their eyes open! Yes, that is a requirement of the passport office. I went to Motophoto to get the pictures and they had the baby lie on a white blanket on  the floor and then the photographer stood over her and took the photo.

  3. I flew from Scotland to England with my daughter when she was about 8 months old and nobody asked to look at her passport (which was a real hassle to get!!)

    But I would check with the airline you are flying with just to be on the safe side, it would be a shame to come up against red tape on your daughters first trip.

  6. I do`nt know but it`s always a good idea to have pictures and finger prints of your child.This world is full of freeks and women that can`t have children that will steal your child if they can.You can never be to safe.tko

  12. there are no photo ID in use in Great Britain, the natives have always been against the idea so you need to get a passport for your baby.

    If it were NI she would get away with a valid driving licence LOL!

    The good news is she will beabe to use it for years so when she is 18 months she can look back and go, didn't I look such a baby.
