Question:

Does my betta want to be with me?

Should I move him from room to room with me? I don't mean always, but if I'm in the kitchen for a long time, should he come with me? Or when I go to the livingroom to watch a movie. I've noticed that when he can't see me, he isn't as active. When he's beside me, he swims around more. Is he bored or lonely if he can't see me? Or am I just too much of a mother (or nuts) !? He is in a gallon tank, easy to carry.

  1. the fish isn't lonely you are! its a fish! moving it around is actually very bad to do all the time, not healthy. he gets excited to see you because that either means food or he precieves you as a threat and wants to fight you lol!

  2. lol

you would one of those woman who like to carry their miniture dogs in their over sized purses.

bored? give it a nintendo gameboy.

answer: you are nuts, but in a good way.

  3. i don't think its the fish thats loney...

you might want to go outside for a little while

  4. if you feel hes lonely then take him with you...you will feel better, and who knows he might too..also you could get him a female and then you could have little Betta babies...too cool...to watch too.

  5. he's just lonly thats all

  6. no actually fish dont care because you can never really touch him he dont need to be around u all the time i would leave him in your room he will be okay

  7. I wouldn't advise carrying him around. It will stress him out, because even if you're only carrying around a gallon of water, it will slosh and move, and maybe even injure him. He reacts to movement when you're near. If you want, put a mirror near his tank, he will flare at himself, and enjoy his own company. Not to mention how gorgeous he looks.

Don't worry too much- They're solitary fish. He's probably just having a rest.

DO NOT put a girl in with him!!! Breeding Bettas is h**l. Trust me. I recently attempted to breed my blue veil male Drake. All was going well, untill I came home and found that the girl had tried to EAT HIM. She was attatched to his tail. Not to mention they can have up to about two hundred babies.

I have fish in my bedroom, in my living room, even in the dining room- They react well to my presence(I do feed them), but they aren't killing themselves when I'm not there. You love your fish, so you aren't nuts. I'd keep all my pets with me at all times if I could!!

XoX And I hope I helped.
