I had an abortion when I was younger due to the circumstance of the pregnancy and I consider myself to have been pregnant because obviously I was but my question is: Does my body think this is my second pregnancy? I know this may seem dumb... thanks for your answers

  1. I think it depends on how far along you were when you got your abortion.

  2. Yes.  Your body knew when that first baby was there.

  3. If you're asking to determine if you need a RhoGam shot based on negative blood, then yes, you need to make sure you tell your doctor about the previous pregnancy and get that shot.

If that's not why, then it probably depends on how long you were pregnant and how much your body changed.

  4. It's between you and God only

  5. Yes. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I got pregnant again 3 months later. I had to say that it was my second pregnancy on any paperwork.

  6. It sure does. The second you fall pregnant your body starts changing, producing hormones and getting prepared for implantation, the pregnancy and birth. Even if you were only pregnant a few weeks the first time, your body still knows it's felt this feeling before at some stage. I've had a daughter, 2 miscarriges and am 12 weeks pregnant again so this is my 4th pregnancy.

If you've been pregnant and either had the child, had an abortion, miscarried or whatever, then it's still classed as a pregnancy either way and your body recognises the hormones and feelings

  7. I guess it would depend on how long you were pregnant the first time before you got an abortion.
