  1. Your cat definitely needs to see the vet. Eye infections left untreated could cause blindness! If you can afford vet care for your other animal, why can't you for this one? Eye medication does not cost that much!

  2. You need to take her to the vets asap . Tell your vet your situation and ask if they would do a payment plan  . When my dog was very ill it was going to be 300 pound which i could not afford all at once , so the vet made up an arrangement where i paid weekly . Other than that there must be ( if you live in the UK ) the RSPCA there you can just give a donation for the vets to treat you cat xx good luck xx

  3. It depends on the age of the cat.If it is old then formation of cataract can not be ruled out,

  4. Aw.. sounds like it :(

  5. it sounds like your cat definitelyy has a eye infesction. it sounds like it already past the early stagges. when the eye starts to crust its self closed then its serious. if it does get serious and is not treated, the infection could resoult in amputation of your cats eye, but that is a last resourt. for now, you should just wipe your cats eye with a warm rag and try to keep her in the house as much as possible.

  6. The same exact thing just happened to my kitten this weekend!  Yes more than likely it is a little infection and its probably not a big deal.  I did take my kitten to the vet and got a gel to put into her eye.  However, before I could get into the vet, I did go to the pet store and bought eye flush for cats and wiped her eye clean and then put the drops in it... this did clear it up a little bit.  However, I would try that and really take her to the vet.  I know my vet only charges like $65 for a visit and the medicine that I had to get was pretty cheap like $15.  Good Luck!

  7. Yes, and I'm sure many others are going to say this too, but it's best to take her to the vet.  I understand how hard it is to manage money with more than one sick pet in the house, but you don't know if the eye infection is contageous or not.  the other animal in the house could get it...  I know i had a cat once that had something similar to pink eye - and we had to be careful because we could've got the infection ourselves.

You might want to talk to the vets in the area and talk to them to see what you can do.  If they think it's contageous or not, and it might be helpful to talk about a payment plan of sorts.

I hope this helps, and I hope your cat's eye gets better

  8. Yes, and take her to the vet now...

  9. I would call the vet and explain the situation. I'm sure that your vet can prescribe an eye drop, that is usually very inexpensive, that you can use . She really needs to have eye drops. (do not use human eye drops)If you are taking your other animal to the vet, I'm sure your vet will understand.
