  1. Yes, it should have one PCIe x16 slot.

  2. I looked up your model and it appears you have one PCI-E slot. Most of the newer computers are compatible with PCI-E.

  3. There are three models in m8000 catagory

    Your question also asked if there is a software you can download to find out. Yes, there is! GPU-Z.

    1.Main page with info and a screenshot.

    http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

    (See on the sceenshot where it ->Bus Interface? To the right, in the 'box', it shows->PCI-E x16@x16.  This means on this computer, it has a PCI-Express x16 slot, and it's operating at x16,{16 Lanes}.

    (Some motherboards have two, or more PCI-Express x16 slots. On some of them when two graphics cards are used, one operates at 16x, and the other one only operates at 8x. If your computer has two graphics cards operating, and you use this utility,{GPU-Z}, you would have two screens, and two tabs on top. It would show you whether both graphic cards are operating at 16x, or one at 16x, and one at 8x.)

    (That's why I like the XFX nForce 680i LT SLI motherboard. When two graphics cards are being used, BOTH operate at 16X!)

    2.Download page: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/Sys... (Just click on the Blue->TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.2.7)
