Does my daycare provider need to be licensed for me to qualify for daycare assistance?

  1. it depends on who is providing the assistance.


  2. Yes.  You should be able to provide the state with a license #, address etc. to obtain assistance. Make sure you include all the information they ask for.  If you have any questions, there is usually an 800 number that you can call.  Be sure to read everything carefully.  It should tell you on the form.  Each state is different...

  3. it depends on which state you are in, but i don't think so because i live in Michigan and care for my friends 4 children, I am not licensed.
