My, friend is in the Philippines and he's getting a python, the python is mixed breed its like light brown with brown spots and a brown line beside the eye with a yellow belly. Anyway, he says he's ready, but he doesn't have one of those heat rocks or heat mats, he says they're not needed, but they are here in England. the temperature in the Philippines is from 24 CELSIUS ( AROUND 75 FARENHEIT ) to 31 CELSIUS (ABOUT 88 FARENHEIT) the humidity is abou 65% to 75% so is it okay to have no heat mats? And what does the snake resemble, what python?

  1. it depends on the snake. snakes are cold blooded so if temperatures changes, they might die. it depends on which temperature is your snake accustomed. in case something wrong happens to the snake, better buy a heat source.

    be careful.

  2. Not likely he would need a heat mat in the Phillipines.  The temperature is consistently warm there, warm enough for pretty much any cold blooded creature to be comfortable and active.  He would probably need to be more careful handling the snake because the snake will be very active at those temperatures.

Likely his snake looks like a reticulated python (pics in link).
