Does my husband want to get back together?

My husband and I separated in May and he lives with his mother. When we meet in public to hand our son off for the weekend he hugs me and flirts and acts like his old self.. suddendly he starts acting stupid then and drives off. A few days ago he and I texted for like 2 hrs. One convo went as follows.

Him: Do you think we will get back together?

Me: Nope.

Him: Nice... if you don't think we will get back together; then stop trying to talk to me why don't you?

I don't get it. Sometimes he sounds like he is still in love, then he just acts stupid. His mom says he doesn't want a divorce, because he is stalling that majorly. She says he is just bitter at everyone, including her right now.

  1. Yes.

But watch out, 1 year into the relationship you'll find he's doing another woman.

  2. If he wanted to get back together with you, then he should be saying so... no game playing, no bullsh*t.  Obviously, this is not the case... Sounds to me like he is totally confused.

  3. i absolutely agree with her. when feelings like that get in the way, it is hard for a person to overcome it.

i think you should try to get together with him.

  4. he sounds like he wants too...and you know that you don't.

I think you're the one playing the game, and you are refusing to divorce him!

  5. How do you feel? He obviously wants to get back together. But I mean... you're separated for a reason, right?

  6. Leave him alone for a while. He needs to regroup and you don't need to bull c**p.

  7. I think you both need to stop playing and tell each other what you really want. There is no need for all the game playing. It takes a mature person to be able to tell another person exactly what they want.

  8. If you love each other get into some counseling and quit playing games with each other.  That is why you think he "acts stupid"-you are confusing him with the come on's and all that does is make someone bitter.  Get some help and start working on your problems because every marriage has them and since you love each other you need to work them out.  Later in life these techniques you learn will come in handy again and again.  Good Luck!
