I have 2 X two month old kitten's, and the one is pedigree. She is a beautiful cat, black and silver with stripes. I dont know what type of cat she is, as my brother lost her papers.
Im not sure if she has an agression problem but would like everyone's opinion and guidance on this:
One minute she will be fine, i'll be able to stroke and pet her, and she purrs like a mad thing and acts all cute. The next minute, she will bite and claw my hand and arm, (not just me, anyone that does this to her) and she will bite so hard that it actually draws blood. I dont smack her, i never have. When she does bites and claws, i say in a stern voice "No biting" and give her a light tap on the bum or paw.
But it doesnt seem to be helping. She bites hard, and sometimes claws so hard that her claws actually get stuck in the skin. Other than that, she is fine. She follows me around, she's playfull she purrs, and has a healthy appetite. Before i got her (from her previous owners) They had a little girl of the age of 2 years old. And apparently she used to carry the kitten around by the head ect. (although we cant really blame a 2 year old little girl for doing this as she never knew any better) Could this have played a role in her behavior?
The other kitten on the other hand will never bite, and if she does, its only when I play with her. And she does not bite nearly as hard as what the other one does.
What could be causing her to act like this? And what can i do to prevent it or stop it from happening? She does this without warning, and its unpredictable. All comments and suggestions are welcomed.
Will rate best answer.
