Does my mom enjoy making me cry?

My mom always yells at me for not making my bf marry me. And every single time I cry during this "lecture". She also says I'm selfish. My dad says she loves me but I think she enjoys making me cry.

Some people try to get others to do things their way with emotional blackmail. They hope that If they make you miserable enough you will do what they want.  She wants what she thinks is best for you and is trying to get you to either do it or learn your lesson.

Mom's Mostly want the best for their kids, really. Even through the hurtful lectures, etc she does. Sometimes moms are a bit old fashion and not up to speed with today's world. Back when , we never lived with a guy without a ring KWIM? She wants ya married because she personally thinks you are better than that...Goodness, hard to type honey, Hope ya understand

First off, how old r u ? Second I think she does (not meaning to darken your day) but if shes saying that just know that its your life not hers! If you want a long time relationship, then you have the right to one. As for your dad, he sounds as if hes on drugs.

Maybe she's ashamed of her daughter not being married. I know I would be ashamed to have a daughter that went from "bf" to "bf" and never married.
