Does my photography have potential?

I want to go to art school in two years and I just want constructive criticism on my photography.

all that matters is that if you're passionate about photography you should go for it.

don't hold back on what people say, what do you say. what does your heart say?

do you enjoy photography? or did some stranger say one picture you took was good so now you're doing it?

ask yourself.

I am a photographer- you are a begining photographer- you need to learn and shoot, shoot, shoot! I always ask myself "Is there any REASON to take this picture and preserve it forever?" do I or anybody else really want to look at this forever? With film, each shot mattered because you had to pay for it- film and developing cost a lot of money- so I had to learn to make each shot MATTER. Take pix of what you enjoy and read all the photo magazines to learn from others and see each photo you create as display of yourself- your talent and your pride in accomplishment. Keep shooting!

Pretty good. Your photos are very clean and sharp, but I think that has more to do with the camera you're using. Keep practicing!

i really do think it does have potential..when i look @ the first 3 ones i think of a magazine or news article..the last two ones reminds me of sumthing u'd see in a clothes magazine almost? all the pix have a story to tell & thats wat make a photo a photo

Your are pretty good.  I really like that panning shot of the kids moving in the car.  I took a photography course years ago before digital cameras.  I loved that class.  I think you are going into a good field.  If I was to criticize anything I would say work on your focus.  It is hard to see what the real quality of the photos are on the web.  Like that desert shot.  Nice photo but the middle area where you are focusing in on looks a little blurry but again, the photo probably loses some quality being transferred around through the web and my monitor is not the latest and greatest.  Best of luck to you.

right now you have some nice photography but deviantart hosts more...photoshopped whimsical things. for great feedback i would suggest getting a free account at flickr.com the people there really helped transform my photos into something...okay to something people email me about and tell me i have great photos. join some groups and get some contacts at flickr and im sure they would be willing to make your nice photos great!
