  1. There are two different type of IP addresses when working with home networking; LAN and WAN.

The WAN IP address will be the same for every computer or game system in the house. It is the IP address that your ISP gives you through your modem.

With your router, it assigns a LAN IP address. No one outside of your house will be able to see that, all they see is the WAN IP address.

You could run an ethernet cord from your router to the PS3 to connect it, unless your router is wireless, then the PS3 can already connect. I'm not sure if you can set the laptop up to give the PS3 internet access.

  2. There are two different IP addresses. there is the WAN IP address which everyone outside your network see's you using, all your computers on your network will use this IP address to share the internet, your ISP gives this to your network.

Inside your network at home all the difference devices and computers connected to your network will have there own indervidual IP addresses.

Im not to sure about the wireless with your PS3 but you may be able to attatch it to another device (such as a computer or wireless bridge) and this may then make it wireless and allow you to connect to your network.

    hope this helps

  3. Each computer on a network has a different IP Address.

To check yours, click Start --> Run --> type CMD, hit OK --> at the command prompt > type ipconfig and hit the Enter key.

This will bring up some information including your IP Address.
