Does my snake have mites?

my rough green snake has this spot on him thats kida open what is it

I have no clue what you mean by "open."

If you're seeing pink skin/muscle - it's an injury.

Mites will be snugged under and between the scales, feeding on the reptile.  They are tiny, and will appear as black 'dots.'

If you are seeing pink tissue, I would recommend taking him to a vet.

There is an easy way to test for mites. Wet your snake then with a white paper towel wipe it from top to bottom. If there are a bunch of little bugs then he has mites.

I don't think it's mites. There is a few things it could be though. I'm thinking from the description, he could have cut himself.
