  1. Know that this is perfectly normal!

He is a growing boy and they eat TONS!!!!! It is the same with my son. It usually comes in spurts and seems it is more often than not but it is normal!

Good job keeping him healthy and active!

  2. worry more about the quality rather than quantity.  Your boy is probably growing!  As long as you're not feeding him garbage food (greasy snacks, sweets, etc) you should be fine.

  3. As long as he is active then he should be good. Don't let him  sit in front of the TV or computer and veg. But most boys will eat A LOT!!

  4. he may need that amount as he is busy and growing. Kids need a lot of food to keep up with the energy neded. As long as he is not overweight then he is not eating too much. Try to give him healthy options and food that will give him slow release energy

  5. He's probably just in his growing stage, so dont worry about it until you see him getting on the bigger side of his classmates.

  6. My eight year old son will eat from the moment he gets home from school until bedtime if I let him.  He's a growing boy.  Not in the least bit overweight.  I make sure he eats nutritious foods.  (My fruit bowl is never empty.)  And I don't worry.  He's growing so fast right now.  Literally about a 1/4 inch or more a month.  That's fast.  And given their activity level, which is full speed ahead, he needs that good energy.  Don't worry.  He'll slow down.  One day soon you're going to slap yourself in the head for telling him to finish his dinner- he won't when he doesn't need it any more.  Best wishes!

  7. If he is healthy, I wouldn't worry about it.  He has to burn a lot of calories to play all of those sports...he probably needs the energy.  I really wouldn't worry about an eight year olds weight unless they were overweight.

  8. I let my children eat as much as they want under one condition: It is healthy! Children need a lot of fuel for their growing bodies.

Junk food should be kept to a minimum and only used as a snack.

If he is eating good healthy food then it is giving him something to burn while playing sports. There is nothing wrong with that and since he is not overweight then that is exactly what is happening.

  9. As long as it's healthy food, and he's not overweight, I don't see a problem!

  10. He seems to be working it all off. Just keep him active in the future and you shouldn't have any problems with his weight.

  11. just make sure he's getting proper nutrition. encourage good eating habits. in fact, he seems a bit UNDERweight, so it's okay if he eats a lot. Kids don't always share traits with their kids. my dad doesn't like the arts much, but I love music and theater.

  12. Watch for him to be 4' 7 or 8" at least by the end of summer. As long as he's burning it off and only eating when he's hungry he should be fine. If you're worried about it ask him why he's eating if he's grabbing snacks, or have him slow down if he eats that much at a sitting. If he tells you he's bored then there's an issue. If his stomach is growling or feels empty then he's honestly hungry and should eat. But if he stops being so active or stops his growth spurt then he should probably eat a little less.

  13. as long as he eats healthy no

  14. Guuuurl you should know boys can eat you out of house and home! Let the boy eat...hes a growing weed lol just waiting to sprout. As long as he's an active child and not playing video games emptying a whole bag of doritos in a records time there is absolutely NOTHING to worry about.
