As a freshman i ended up with a 4.0 and had all honors classes. I signed up for my classes for my sophmore year and this is how it looks:

AP Biology

English 2 Honors

Precalculus Honors

AP European History

Spanish 3

I would consider myself smart but not like a genius or all I wan't to stand out when i apply to all these colleges. Does my schedule stand out to colleges like the ones i mentioned. I am aiming for a 4.0 of course.

  1. Your schedule looks really good actually, you should be proud.  Colleges are really going to look for people who are diversified people.  What else do you do besides school?  Are you in a band or do you play sports?  Do you have an extra job?  Colleges want people who WANT to participate, people who WANT to go out and make the most of their time.  They want people who not only join clubs, but START them.  People who know what they like and who want to take it to the next level.  Spread out what you do.  Travel, work, and community service always go a long way.  Of course, a 4.0 is great, but what makes you stand out is by being a person who takes part in the life going on around them. People who WANT to participate.

Oh, and to Jeff H, I hate to say this, but there is nothing worse than to point out poor spelling and then misspell "grammar."  It looks really, really foolish.  Don't listen to him, Bob.

  2. Your schedule looks fine to me. I'm not trying to be an *** or anything, but it is spelled want not "wan't". I know this is just YA, but still spelling and grammer go a long way when making impressions.

  3. Looks good, I got into Cal, LA and SD with only 2 honors sophomore year (chem and pre calc). As long as you maintain straight A's or near straight A's and you think you can handle the load, then you're good to go.

    And it's grammar, not grammer!
