Question:

Does my teacher hate me?

I have this really cool teacher, but it seems like she hates me. To tell you the truth, she scares me a bit. Not a lot, because I think she's cool for the most part, but I think she hates me. How do you tell if a teacher hates you? Techers, do you sometimes hate your students? If so, why?

  1. I don't think that your teacher hates you.  Unless she did something that would have hurt you intentionally, (and no, I'm not talking about a test that you did and got a bad mark, ha ha ;), then I doubt that she hates you.  Some things I would check for if I thought a teacher disliked me would be the way she spoke to me.  If your teacher is sarcastic naturally then that might be different, so keep that in mind.  If she really degrades you then there is a problem.

If you don't disrupt her class a lot and finish your homework, come into class on time and overall seem like a pretty average student going through school then I think your fine.  If you didn't do anything to her, she probably wouldn't do anything to you.

Well, I had this teacher that I thought hated me, and she was actually trying to get me to pay attention, because I don't really pay attention in class.  Well, I don't think this is the case, she might also just "is like that."  If you know what you mean.

Good luck, and just take time to see things a different way.  ;)

  2. I doubt that she  hates you. I'm a teacher but I've never hated any of my students. Sometimes people with "strong" personalities can come across harsh and you can get the wrong idea about them. Teaching can be a stressful job. A teacher may feel she needs to vent some anger and she might do it on her students. That's not an ok thing to do, but it happens. Either way, it probably has nothing to do with you.

  3. it's not about you.
