I have a Panasonic ct 27sc15 model that I got a few years ago. I was just wondering if it had a converter built in or if I need to purchase one. Thanks

  1. I looked up the manual on that set ( http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instru... ).  That is an older analog set.  If you wish to use it to receive Over The Air digital broadcasts, you will need to use a converter box.  Of course, for use with cable or satellite, you won't need to do anything next February.

I hope this helps.  Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.

  2. If it's a few years old, it probably doesn't have a digital converter.  However, if you have cable or satellite TV, you don't need a converter.  They will convert the signal for you.  If you get over-the-air broadcasts you'll need to buy a digital converter.  The government is sending out coupons for those, BTW, if you need one.
