Does nano technology exist?

I have heard about nano-technology, but I never understood really what it was all about or if it even exists...like cold fusion,

So does it exist, what is it all about, and how would it be used?

Nano-technology is the reason you are using your computer right now. Where do you think your microprocessor chip came from? In order to process those gigabytes of information in a small, confined space (what is the size of your motherboard?), one needs some sophisticated technology. That's where nanotechnology comes from.

Nanotechnology does exist. Remember your metric prefixes and what "nano" means? Its technology on the microscopic scale. Many scientist are into nanotech because of the millions of possibilities this technology can lead to, from computers (smaller size, higher specs) to medicine.
