Question:

Does neone know what the large rectangular shaped building is right down by the waters edge at Niagara Falls?

It appears to be abandoned, it's the one with plant life growing on the top of it!!! I wish I had found out when I was there a few years ago. If anyone knows what it was used for I'd be interested to know.

  1. It is not abandoned, it is very much in use. The only part you can see is one section of roof, as the rest is built right into the rock. It is the Ontario Hydro Generating Station, which gives access to the turbines located under the Falls. Before the Newest Casino was built, which is on OPG property, there was a huge 100 year old office building in its place, which had tunnel and elevator access to the power station. Now they use the entrance left of the Victoria Parks, in the same building which houses the lights that shine over the Falls at night. You'd be shocked at the things found on the roof of that building....engagement rings, cameras, money, wallets..etc.
