  3. Yes, they have much better team-oriented guards and forwards that are already used to playing with one another. Keeping the US roster consistent from year to year builds team chemistry and helps the team learn and grow together. Throwing T-Mac into the mix now would disrupt the chemistry the team already has, and would need time for adjustments -- something the US team doesn't have. They want to win now, and that's going to be delayed with the arrival of Tracy McGrady, or any other superstar-minded player.
