  1. Of course he does. He an acting senator and has every right and responsibility to check on what our country is doing in foreign lands.

He's also trying to prove he should be our next president.

  2. Well, sure. What's wrong with observing what's going on?

What else would he really be "doing?"

  3. No, he does not really understand what is going on over there.

He'll probably get elected, something bad will happen that he won't know how to handle and we'll all be up the creek.

  4. you bet ye he does.

  5. Isn't that what we pay him for?

  6. Like any other Senator, he gets to use tax payer funded travel to advance his agenda and see the world. Most of them do this stuff. They call it fact finding. The taxpayers call it junkets.

  7. He hardly had a choice. Had he not gone, he'd have had no defense from the McCain campaign criticism that he's made policy without going. And it fits in well with his needs. Since McCain was right about what to do with Iraq, and Obama was wrong, this is a way for him to "adjust" his policy without admitting the obvious.

  8. Yes.

As the next President of the United States, Obama should be over there trying to end Bush's war.

Old Man McCain wants to keep Bush's war going for the next 100 years.

This is not what the American people want and it is not what the Iraqi people want.

Bush/McCain and their special interest friends in the oil companies want to keep Bush's war going even though it has tripled the price of gas and ruined the American economy.

I'm glad that soon-to-be-President Obama is there trying to make a change for the better.

  9. He has got plenty of business to be there, he is a senator and one of our country's leaders.  Also, since he is the presumptive Democratic party Nominee, he should be over there.  MY big problem with him is that he didn't go sooner.  The only reason he is there now is that his advisors made him get over there to make him appear more knowledgeable on the subject.

  10. He has the right to travel wherever he wants.  He is running for President, and he has the right and obligation to tell us what he would do if he were President.  He does not have the right to make policy until/unless he is elected.

  11. My only problem with him being over there is that every time he opens his mouth something stupid happens!!
