Does one ever feel ones servants are to bally nosey?

i caught a flipping footman listening to a conversation i was having with one of his betters. i gave him a d**n good thrashing and had him on the cinder path,,......but it seems that these fellows just dont respect their betters anymore...dont you agree?

It is up to you to teach your staff respect,but how you expect to do that when you are a throwout from Greyfriars I do not know!

Why yes, only the other day I had to give one of the maids a jolly good seeing to and the lady of the manor is always having words with the gardener.
