I know that the SAT officials will allow you even if you didn't take the respective subject, or have not taken a Honors or AP class. You can still take the test even if you are in regular.

I want to know that....

Even if you havn't taken a honors or AP course(just taking a regular Acdemic Course) for the Respective Subject, knowledge wise is possilble to do well on the exam (getting a 700 and above).

  1. Of course not. The US History subject test was a complete joke. Anyone with half a brain can get over 700.

  2. Nope, you don't have to tell them anything about your courses when you sign up for it. I could take the Latin subject test even though I've never taken Latin.. but it would probably help a lot if I had.

EDIT: Not sure why my response deserves a thumbs-down, but thanks anyways. It is possible to do well, although obviously if you've taken the "enriched" course you will probably be better prepared. However, it is not necessary, and you will probably find that you know a lot of the stuff on the test just flipping through the book. Just take lots of practice tests, and read the book to cover the areas that you haven't learned or are unclear on, and you will be set.

And make sure you study from a book designed for the SAT2s. I prefer The Princeton Review or Barron's, but I'm sure there are lots of other good quality books out there.

Good luck on your tests, if you choose to take them.
