my husband and i are currently filing for his residency (i'm a US citizen, he is not), and now we're just waiting for him to receive his work permit in the mail. my question is, can he apply for a job yet, or does he have to wait until he physically has the work permit? thanks in advance!

  1. you can apply without yet having permit yet... but if hired you wont be able to start the job till you show them the permit... good luck.. just give them a ruff estimate of when you will be recieving it.

  2. Yes, he can apply for jobs.  He cannot start work until he receives the permit.
