Does ordering cafe americano with 3 shots and whip cream at Starbucks sounds weird to u?

please tell me why it sounds weird with the whip cream part? i dont get it. since they put the whip cream with mocha... why not with cafe americano?

*the starbucks' cashier was laughing at the order* i was just confused..

ill be honest.......it does a little bit but dont stop drinking it just cuz u think other people think ur weird..............i personally love coffe..i aint addicted or ne thing but i wudnt stop drinking it cuz people thort i am weird. does that help?

At Starbucks, an Americano is greatly appreciated by both barista and customers alike.  However, due to the Americano very earthy and strong taste, we find very few customers who appreciate its complex and intense flavor.  Most if not all customers who order an Americano prefer it black.

An Americano consists of shots of espresso with hot water or served over ice and filled with water.  In this presentation of an Americano, is is expected that the customer drink it black.  The sweet, carmel-like smoothness of an espresso shot completes the drink without the requirement of sugar or cream.  

The barista should not have laughed at your order in any way.  At Starbucks, our coporate policy states, "Just say yes."  However it is probable that she laughed because of the reasons stated above.

If that's how you like your drink, then don't worry about what other people think.  There's nothing weird about it.

I drink Americanos primarily, and I think it sounds good.  Both *$ baristas are wrong - the one who posted here is pretty arrogant and judgemental - "most people prefer" is total BS.  The one who laughed is totally over the top.

You order what you want - if they ever laugh at you again, you ask them why - and tell 'em that you don't appreciate it.  And if I were you, I'd call *$ customer service, and express your hurt and confusion.

Your drink is just an "Americanised" espresso con panna - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Espresso_co... - and your barista was just showing the general lack of knowledge that's rampant at *$ (Starbux).

Italians laugh at Starbux . . . the candied, wimpy versions of espresso . . .
