does ordering from the dr mean a deal bc they order so much from their supplier ( for their patients) that they get a discount? im curious bc i had an appointment and the dr told me to call them the next day so they could reorder my new contacts for me. i already wear contacts and my dr knows this. i usually buy them online as do most people. im assuming since drs keep telling their patients to order from them, maybe they offer special discounts. do you know?

  1. well i know my dr. was going to charge me like $40 for a pair of lenses and i dont have that bad of eyes i am like - 2.75 or something so it wasnt a expensive perscription and i use acuve. But i find if you take that prescription to costco and order it there its like 12 bucks and you get a bunch... Your dr. will probably tell you all this stuff on why you shouldent because they dont want you to go there because it really is a better deal.

  2. usually it's more expensive to order from the doctor, but they guarantee their products, so if you get misshapen contacts or even missing ones, they'll replace them. also, your doctor won't let you keep ordering after your prescription expires, while online stores do.

  3. I use 1-800-CONTACTS, and have always found it to be less expensive than my optomotrist. Plus, the best part is that they send me an email when it is time to re-order!

  4. just ask the doctor what price and compare that to your website.

i got a mail-in rebate when i ordered from the doctor, it was a pretty good one too, around $80
