  1. ewww.. i hope not!

  2. Strange! It depends WHO made it.

  3. Yes, it does.

Most governments including the US allow ___ amounts of insect parts and rodent droppings in most foods. It's unavoidable, apparently.

Unfortunately, we live in the 'real' world where unsanitary and disgusting things happen occasionally.

Somehow, after 100,000s of years of evolution we've survived.

    You may not!

  4. I just lost my appetite for chocolate...

  5. He?

    Really?

    I didn't know that before..

  6. All food has an allowable amount of "other stuff".  So probably it does have.

  7. When I was a college student, I had a job one summer working for Heinz in their quality control lab. I spent the whole day looking through a microscope at ketchup, canned soups, tomato sauce, and other foods, counting insect eggs, rodent excreta particles, bits of hair, insect body parts, etc. There were fixed standards establishing maximum allowable quantities of each type of thing, but you can be sure the number never got down to zero!

I don't think Heinz is unique in this. Vegetables are grown out in the open, rooted in soil that is full of all sorts of organisms. And so is chocolate. You can clean and clean, but you'll never get it all. However, this stuff had all been pressure-cooked and was harmless.
