Does our eyes have radar or something? Does light bounce off objects and give the exact image to our brains?

  1. Radar sends OUT a signal and the bounce-back of that signal is what allows it to "see"

    Our eyes don't really work that way because our eyes don't send out any kind of signal.

    Lemme see if I can explain this...

    Our eyes receive the visible light which bounces off other objects... this light enters our eyes and is focused on the back of our eyeballs.  There are receptor cells which are triggered back there and those send a signal to the visual cortex of our brain which then learns to "see" and recognize which combination of color, size, shape, etc ...equals what object.
