Does ovulation occur the day you experience ovulation type cramping?

On the 21st, cycle day 13 of my 27 day cycle, I experienced sharp, crampy pains in my lower left abdomen, and slight lower back achiness, but mostly the pain in the lower left abdomen.

would ovulation have occurred this day?

  1. i have cramping when i am ovulating. i have done research and i have found that it can occur about 1 day before to 1 day after.

    so either way if you have s*x the day before and the same day you start cramping then you should be good.

  3. Some women know when they're ovulating because the cramp. Others know because of their cervical mucus, or other changes in the body. Unfortunately, we cannot determine ovulation for every woman based on those symptoms because of the variations from woman to woman. I personally have never experienced cramping during ovulation.

    It may have been ovulation cramping, but there's no way to tell for sure unless it came accompanied by other symptoms, such as stretchy, slippery, egg white cervical mucus which is a much better indicator of ovulation. Good luck, hope this helps!
