I am soon decorating my bedroom and want a modern but simple room which I can dress up with cushions, fabrics etc. I was thinking about pale blue with chocolate brown. Do you like this idea?

  1. I love the idea...those are the colours I want in my living room!

  2. yeah it sounds lovely. if it was me id go for duck egg blue (best colour ever) and white.

but if you prefer these colours then go for it

    happy desiging =]

  3. One of my favorite color combinations!

  4. The colors are great together but don't forget your3rd color.

So blue is your dominating color and brown would be your accent color

Then you need a splash of another color so it don't look like a box.

With those colors I might add a burnt red small throw pillow then on your wall get a picture that has the chocolate and colors and maybe a splash of that red in it.. Also a candle (not to burn)

Don't go heavy on your third color just a touch

  5. nah, i heard hot pink and bright yellow looked good!

  6. I have pale blue and chocolate brown and it looks great but be careful not to go with too much brown.

  7. Yeah those colors will go great together...if you've ever seen the show Color Splash the designer David Bromstad used those exact colors for a bedroom.

  8. Yes, these colors  have been used a bit lately.  I'd be slightly cautious because these colors used together are a bit trendy, so if you want to stay in trends, it maybe a bit costly, otherwise you'll be outdated in a couple of years.

  9. These colours definately go together, even a sky blue with the choclate brown, but only if you use them both equally. It would look odd if you favoured one more than the other.

Sounds like a great idea :)
