  1. Any unpaid bills hurt your credit so its but obvious that on not paying will hurt your credit. So its advisable for you payoff your debts.

If you are not able to manage your bills there is bills consolidation programs provided by many companies. Where the manage your various bills and you have to pay only a fixed amount per month which in turn they will distribute it to your creditors.

Here is the source of a debt consolidation company named http://ezconsolidation.com for your reference.

  2. It will.  If you don't pay on time, & you get in trouble with the company as a delinquent, they may cancel your acct. Next time you try & get a phone from another company, they will do a credit check...then, it will show you had a problem.

You wouldn't want that, do you?  So, you're doing a good job by paying & keeping on top of your bills on time.

  3. It won't positively affect your credit.

But if you don't pay it and it goes to collection, it will negatively affect your credit.

The same is true of all your other utilities, such as gas, electric or water.  They are able to charge big reconnection fees, so it is to your advantage to pay your bills on time.

What DOES help your credit is the time purchase of things that are not considered necessities, or the prompt payment of charge cards.

  4. nope, sorry. cell phones/landline phones are not reported to the credit bureaus UNLESS you don't pay. then they're all over your credit with outstanding debt

  5. no but if you have no credit scores at all it can be used as an alternative trade line when applying for credit such as a mortgage

  6. Normally NO, every utility has their own rules, however,

IF you DO NOT pay them on time, They will report it fast, and it can ruin your credit.

This is why the credit reporting system is unfair. They only want to report what is bad, not good.

    Case in point:

I have had electric, cable and phone service at multiple addresses, over 25 years, paid on time, it did not help my credit, however, a year ago, when I moved, The phone bill was misdirected, and it was 3 months overdue, THAT WENT ON MY REPORT.

    Bill

  7. not really  - unless your default that they can put it on your credit report
