  1. All you need is the "tourist card (visa)" that you get on the airplane or at the border.  If you FLY, you must have a passport from your home country.  At this time you can still travel by LAND to Mexico without a passport, tho that will chnge sometime in the next year.

  2. No, you do not need a visa.  Just make sure you bring your green card.

  3. The first 15 miles or so are okay without a visa.  Beyond that you need a tourist visa.  There is an immigration stop just about there and they will give you the papers that you need.   It's usually good for 180 days.  If you fly, the airlirlines will provide the papers.

  4. You don't need a visa however you do need a passport to travel between the two countries.

    Hope this helps!

  5. To get back into the US, you need two forms of ID.  They are actually asking for a passport or birth certificate now.  I just went from Mexico to the US, 2 days ago and was asked for my passport or birth certificate.  Passports are the best.

  6. I too am wondering the same thing, my mother n law is leaving for Oaxaca, Mexico next week and all she has is her permanent resident card and her pass port. We are thinking that is all that she will need, we will find out when we take her to the air port next week if we need to get her a travelers visa or not.
