I live in South Australia and am about to move to Perth. The fact that Perth does not have these insidious machines is  great news. Congratulations to the people and politicians of Perth for their decision. These machines have destroyed South Australia's pubs and created a new generation of problem gamblers - Adelaide was once known for it's vibrant music scene with bands such as Cold Chisel, the Angels etc coming out of Adelaide, nowadays all we have is rows of mindless, antisocial, desperate people feeding money to make publicans and government rich - can't wait to get to Perth and remember what a pub should look like - without pokies!
