Does pizza hut use meat to flavor their sauce?

I'm a vegetarian, and I have heard from some people who are ones as well, that they don't eat pizza hut because the sauce has meat flavorings in it. My boyfriend thinks I'm full of it! but I have no idea! lol

Yes.  I actually went there today and saw them making one.  The sauce had chuncks of sausage in it.  Let me do some research for you, though, and I'll get back to you.............................Maybe, not.  Sorry.  This is the recipe I found on associatedcontent.com...

Pizza Hut Sauce

1 (8 Ounce) can tomato paste

1/2 cup water

1/2 teaspoon oregano

1/2 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon garlic

1/2 teaspoon marjoram

1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Blend all ingredients.

2. Heat in a saucepan until heated through.

3. Use in recipe (pizza or whatever you choose).

Maybe what I saw was a special order or something.  So eat all the cheese pizza you want.  NO MEAT!

I have heard this as well but after asking my friend who worked at a pizza hut, she said, no they don't have meat flavorings in it.

I would recommend making your own homemade pizza because quite frankly, it will taste better, you can monitor EXACTLY what you put on it, and make it how you want it.

When in doubt, make it yourself!  =)

no there are no Proven ingredients behind the scenes we will never know but it should be safe to eat.

The boyfriend wins this one - Pizza Hut's sauce has no meat ingredients in it.
