Does playing 3-5 times a week will help me to improve my game?

I noticed that my vertical jump is getting lower. I have a tournament this weekend in Minneapolis. I need help to get my vertical jump higher.

  1. Since your vertical jump is getting lower by playing more, it sounds like muscle fatigue.   Try getting some rest before playing this weekend before the tournament.  You have added playing 3 to 5 times a week to your regular schedule and your body is tired.

    You need someone who is more professional to help you improve, such as a coach or personal trainer.

  3. I have to agree with both answers above.

    Yes playing more will ultamately help your game. I t will get you to be a better instintual player but it may also increase any bad habbits you have if you aren't being coached.

    It does just sound like miscle fatigue as far as your vertical though and yes a couple days rest before the tournament will help that out. In the long run though your vertical should increase with you playing more often.  If it is a major concern for you there are several jump training programs out there that you can use to help increase your vertical - you just have to be carefull about them because most of them are pretty hard on the knees and can possibly lead to injury if they're not done correctly.
