  1. No, your height is a genetic thing.

  2. yes

  3. My nephew who is 11 years old now might tell you it will.

True story; a couple of years ago my sister picked my nephew up from school in the fall (who is mixed). He was very quiet and and seemed to be bothered by something. So she asked him what was wrong and asked if he had a bad day. He started playing with his hands and blurted out in a very concerned voice that " he is starting to turn white and he will not be able to jump while playing basketball". She laughed and asked him who he heard this from and he said from the movie "White Men Can't jump".

  4. If you swim alot will you get gills?? You have got to be kidding me.

  5. I have no idea why any mother would say anything like that

  6. Thats what my mom says too and thats what all the moms says usally but I think its more genetic it doesn't really help.  If you are good at defence and u jump a lot then it might help. I jump when I am shooting 3's,I jump when I go for a layup,I also jump and put a hand out whenever my opponent is shooting but it did not help me. Also look at Earl Boykins,Nate Robinson,Spub Webb they all can jump very well, but their short. So even if u jump a lot it does not help, its genetic.

  7. No...Being taller helps you play basketball

  8. Well if you're a C, or PF, yes. Jumping a lot increases your height whether you want to believe or not.

    There's a reason im 5'8 and I'm only 14.

  9. yes. if you play basketball everyday for 1 year and sleep alot you can grow aroung 1-3 inches a year. That's why Kobe Bryant grew from 6'6" to 6'7" in a year

  10. because being 5"8 at 14 is impressive..?

  11. so if ur mom said i romanced sports fanatic tonight would u believe her????? i gues u would have to cuz she did

  12. Thats what my whole family has been telling me for years. And I play basketball everyday or every other day for the last 7 or 8 years and I'm 5'6. Height is genetic in my opinion. Its all predetermined.

  13. nope

  14. it builds lean muscle

    you grow in your sleep*
