Does playstation 3 affects tv's?

I'm getting pissed off because my dad blames my playstation 3 for the broken tv. Well in fact, I didn't use it for 3 months!!!what's up with that???!!!He was just watching tv when it blinked and then suddenly it got broken. I want to prove to him that it wasn't my fault (because I'm the one who plays it). ~_~

It is impossible for a playstation to make a TV not work.

Only signals move through the wires which are connected to the TV.

There is no power transfer between the two units.

The poblem would be in the TV itself!

the ps3 is just like any other device connected to ur tv like a dvd player , by no means can it affect ur tv directly

There is no way that any console could do that to a TV, chances are it was going to die any way...and by the sound of it, it was a power supply fault...Only way to prevent that is if the tv wasn't on..ever..

The worst a PS3 (any console) could do to a TV is burn in, which mainly  happens on some plasma / rear projection  TVs.

Things get old/worn or are just faulty..everything dies..
