    of course is very important to have policies in your setting. the most important thing is that you are able to create a secure, safe and stimulating environment. For example: Illness policy: when a child is sick, for exthe  child has a contagious disease or diorrhea is very important to inform the parents as soon as possible and to prevent the other children getting sick.

    One of the most important principle when working with children is their welfare. Your responsability is to protect children and to prevent anything happening to them. If you have a child protection policy this will help you and will serve as guidance for you. You will be able to know what to do when you will notice any sign of abuse. All this policies work together and is your duty to respect them and in this way you can contribute to a very safe , welcoming and positive care environment.
