  1. Yes, it's also illegal. Someone recently got fined £12,000 for using it.

  2. No opening the port does not affect anything.

Using too much bandwidth in uTorrent can affect browsing and downloading.  Usually it is the upload bandwidth use of uTorrent that affects those.  If the upload in uTorrent is set to unlimited, there will not be room for needed communications from your computer (this also affects download speed in uTorrent).

This guide to getting the best speeds in uTorrent will help with that.  I use those settings and never have an issue with browsing or downloading.

  3. IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY DOWNLOADING TORRENTS, YEA. BUT IF THE CLIENT IS OFF NO. BECAUSE WHEN YOU ARE ONLINE AND AT THE SAME TIME DOWNLOADING TORRENTS, THE DOWNLOADER WILL EAT UP THE BANDWITH.  AT THE SAME TIME XP OR VISTA LIMITS THE HALF OPEN CONNECTIONS. 8 OR 10. I,M NOT SURE. YOU CAN SEARCH FOR A TCP PATCH BUT BECAREFUL.
