Does prayer work?

Sometimes there are reasons why prayers are not answered.  I have a younger sister w Down's and I know God put her in my life to teach me things a normal sister could never teach.  An amputee may appreciate life much more than a walking person.  I honestly didn't read the study, but I can see why God chose not to participate in the research study full of skepticals.   How can we test God?  Maybe you should ask the cancer doctors that gave my friend's mom 3 months to live.  That was 7 years ago.  God answered her prayers.  Again, sometimes there are reasons why prayers are not answered.  These are God's reasons.
