  1. I've actually heard that helps but frankly I've never tried it!

  2. I wouldn't use Preparation H any where but where it is upposed to be used., Preparation H is meant to be applied to the rectal area. Puffy eyes come from lack of sleep and/or crying. I'd get more sleep and use an icepack wrapped in a cloth to lay across my eyes while resting on a cough or in bed.

  3. I've never tried it.

Preparation H is a cream that reportedly removes excess water from under the skin through restricting the size of blood vessels in the targeted area.

You would be better putting on a cool gel eye mask in the morning or holding cold spoons over your eyes!

  4. Yes, it works like a charm.  Just don't use too much, or you'll end up looking greasy.  After you wash and tone your face, apply a small amount where you are puffy before applying your makeup.  You will notice a difference, especially if you do this on a regular basis.

  5. Yes, it will work. Preparation H is an anti-inflammatory and anti-itch cream. You can use it anywhere really that's puffy and itchy. Just be careful not to get it in your eye.

You may have the gene that gives you puffy eyes though and nothing will help. Does your mom or dad or do they both have puffy eyes?

If you're sleeping on your side with your left eye nearest the pillow, you may be putting too much pressure on it or having too much blood that pools in its surrounding skin overnight. Try sleeping on the other side or sleeping on your back for a while and see if that makes a difference.

There are surgeries now that can drain the area around the eye of the fluids that collect but I think it's a lot like any other facial surgery and you would have to do it often.

It could also be your diet. Too much alcohol or salt can result in puffy eyes. Cut back on both and drink more water.

I wear contacts and have irritated eyes a lot and give my eyes a massage every day.

With the Preparation H or any good moisturizer you use, massage your eyes starting underneath them and going out along the cheek bone, then up and around, above the eyebrows and then lightly over your eyelids. I make several circles around my eyes and often several times a day.
